Sunny Leigh

Sunny Leigh just celebrated 20 years in Tulsa. She spent the last 5 years as an anchor for Good Morning Oklahoma and Good Day Tulsa at KTUL NewsChannel 8. Before that, she enjoyed a 15-year career in radio at the legendary 98.5 KVOO. While in radio, she won numerous awards including a Best of Broadcast Award, Country Aircheck Award, American Women in Radio & Television Best Morning Team Award, and in 2013 her partners and her won the Academy of Country Music Award for “Best Morning Personalities.” Sunny has interviewed everyone from Taylor Swift to Willie Nelson. A passionate environmentalist, Sunny was known as the Channel 8 "Bird Nerd" and "Critter Catcher." She has a degree in biology, with a specialty in marine sciences and was a wildlife rehabber in her younger days. Sunny is excited to depart the world of broadcast journalism to embark on a career of helping to preserve the beauty of our wild spaces here in Oklahoma and beyond.
