December First Thursday | Systems for Local Food Access

Oklahoma is ripe for a stronger connection between the people who grow our food and the communities that rely on it. With more than 52,000 local farms and ranches across the state, there’s immense potential for local restaurants, schools, and institutions to source food closer to home.

Time & Location

Dec 04, 2025, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CST

Tulsa Garden Center at Woodward Park, 2435 S Peoria Ave, Tulsa, OK 74114, USA

About the event

Strengthen our economy, culture, and resilience by exploring how schools and restaurants are primed to drive adoption of locally sourced foods for a more nutritious and sustainable community. Join us and guest speaker Taryn DeWitt of Tulhoma for an engaging discussion on Oklahoma’s local food markets and what it takes to close the loop between food, culture, and economy.

First Thursdays are always free and open to the public. Online participation options are available upon registration.
