On March 5, 2025, Mayor Nichols issued Executive Order No. 2025-04 establishing the Tulsa Sustainability Task Force and laying the foundation for a City Office of Sustainability and/or an Authority, Board, or Commission of City Sustainability. Since then, task force members have met to review the planiTulsa report and align priorities with sustainability initiatives and make recommendations to the Mayor. They have also launched a public survey and are holding five planned public discussions, "Let's Talk Sustainability" meetings, to gain input and address questions. This B2B event specifically seeks the engagement of Tulsa area businesses and organizations to support the final report to be delivered to the Mayor in October.
