14th Annual Bellmon Sustainability Awards

On March 13th, 2025, The Sustainability Alliance held the prestigious Bellmon Awards to recognize the top achievers in the 23-24 Scor3card cycle. Each year, Scor3card members work to track and improve their sustainability initiatives by tackling up to 59 high-impact organizational activities and collecting up to 140 quantifiable KPIs. Some of these activities include conducting waste audits, evaluating Scope 1-3 emissions, upgrading to energy efficient appliances or lighting, providing sustainability education and training, planting trees and pollinator habitats, and volunteering within their communities.

This event focused on highlighting the triple-bottom-line strategy: People, Profit, and Planet - a systematic approach developed by The Sustainability Alliance to promote the adoption of practices by organizations across industries at all sizes, which support community resilience, economic vitality, and environmental stewardship. This year's winner's join a list of changemakers representing more than 55 organizations, businesses, and projects who have won these awards since 2010.

Hosted at the historical Circle Cinema, a locally owned and operated theater in Tulsa's Kendall Whittier district, members and the general public gathered to celebrate "business as sustainable" and watch the winner's stories come alive on the silver screen.

Winners met various criteria to be eligible for these awards: they completed the 23-24 Scor3card cycle and achieved at least gold-level ranking in the program, their responses were reviewed and assessed to be high-quality by an independent board of verifiers and completed an application to be considered as Bellmon winners.
At the event, almost 100 individuals gathered on the green carpet - tasting local hors d'oeuvres catered by Chef Nico of Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness and raising green goblets to toast the growth of sustainability in our region and beyond. Watch our event highlight reel below!
