Highlights from the 2024 Bellmon Awards
On March 13th, 2025, The Sustainability Alliance hosted the prestigious Bellmon Awards. These awards aim to recognize outstanding achievements in the 23-24 Scor3card cycle. Members of the Scor3card community work tirelessly each year. They work to improve their sustainability initiatives through various impactful organizational practices. These initiatives involve up to 59 distinct activities and the collection of over 140 quantifiable KPIs.
Some key activities include:
Conducting waste audits.
Evaluating Scope 1-3 emissions.
Upgrading to energy-efficient appliances or lighting.
Providing sustainability education and training.
Planting trees and pollinator habitats.
Volunteering within communities.

This year's event emphasized the triple-bottom-line strategy: People, Profit, and Planet. This systematic approach helps organizations adopt sustainable practices. Such practices enhance community resilience, economic vitality, and environmental stewardship. The winners this year join a remarkable group of over 55 organizations and projects recognized since 2010.
The Event's Atmosphere
The event took place at the historical Circle Cinema, a local theater located in Tulsa's Kendall Whittier district. Attendees included members of the community and sustainability enthusiasts. They celebrated the idea of "business as sustainable" while watching videos showcasing the winners' stories on the big screen.

Winners were selected based on specific criteria. They had to complete the 23-24 Scor3card cycle and achieve at least a gold-level ranking in the program. Their applications were scrutinized by an independent board of verifiers to maintain high standards.
A Memorable Celebration
During the event, nearly 100 guests enjoyed local hors d'oeuvres, catered by Chef Nico from Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness. Attendees toasted to the growth of sustainability in Oklahoma and beyond. Watch our event highlight reel below!
