CELEBRATE EARTH MONTH

Get involved and make a difference! Build your Earth Month bucket list:

  • Start a green team at your workplace. Check out this link to learn how you can bring sustainability to your team culture and start tackling green initiatives with your colleagues.

  • Join the cleanup. Be stewards of our green spaces and waterways by joining a cleanup event this month, with various opportunities from April 1 - April 30. Sign up today!

  • Take public transportation instead of your car once a week this month. Show your community public transportation is worth investing in. Plan your first trip today!

  • Try out a plant based diet. You don’t have to do it perfectly! Try using this month as a tester for incorporating plant-based meals into your routine. Opt to go meatless for a few days each week or the full month to lower your carbon footprint and try new food that is good for your belly and the planet. Read more here.

  • Become a member of The Sustainability Alliance. Champion sustainability work directly this month by making a one-time or sustaining contribution to support our efforts, like this newsletter! Click here to join or make a donation.

Coming in first place for February’s challenge, Jessica is taking home the prize of two tickets to the Greenwood Rising Museum, a copy of "Built From The Fire: The Epic Story of Tulsa's Greenwood District”, and a $30 Gift Card to a locally black-owned business. We asked her about her experience in this challenge and she shared,

"I love using Terrascore. It encourages me to stay healthy, get involved in community activites, and take steps to ensure our plant's health."

Congrats Jessica! Keep up the great work!

With Scor3card, they hope to capture their efforts and build momentum to expand their initiatives. Not only is sustainability a badge to earn, but for Scouts BSA, it is a way of building community and managing resources. Welcome to the Scor3card family!

THE CURRENT CYCLE FOR SCOR3CARD IS WRAPPING UP ON MAY 1ST.

CALLING ALL DOERS

After a successful First Steps pilot program in 2023, we are launching our first cohort in the fall of 2024. If your team is interested in participating in a service project, implementing new sustainability practices, learning more about environmental justice, or going all the way toward a carbon-neutral facility, we want you to be a part of our team. We will launch 3 cohorts this fall: Faith-based communities, nonprofits, and schools.
