"Passionate and forward-thinking, the Scor3card members have shown commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship,” said Executive Director of The Sustainability Alliance, Corey Wren Williams. “Their innovative projects, community engagement, and achievements in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and conservation efforts set a leading example for businesses across multiple industries. The Scor3card program is proud to have such dedicated members, guided by expert volunteer coaches. Together, they are building a more sustainable future."
The event took place Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Oklahoma Aquarium. The Aquarium served as the presenting sponsor for the event, providing the setting for the event and assisting in numerous other areas.
The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour, followed by the awards ceremony and a celebratory reception afterwards in the Aquarium’s Polynesian Reef and Shark Adventure exhibit areas.
Mark Yates served as the event emcee. Yates is a seasoned public affairs expert with experience in clean energy, agriculture, and legislative engagement in the local, multi-state and national arenas. He plays a major role in helping shape renewable energy policies to benefit communities.
Additionally, Yates served as the former vice president for the Advanced Power Alliance where he represented leading domestic and international companies in the renewable energy sector.
"Celebrating the achievements of these organizations in sustainability was truly inspiring,” said Yates. “I was honored to serve as the emcee for the Annual Celebration and witness the remarkable strides these businesses have taken towards a more sustainable future. Their innovative initiatives and commitment to responsible practices are setting a high standard for others to follow. Congratulations to all the members for their well-deserved recognition."
